ACADEMIC STATEMENT

I strive to actively listen, engage the whole student, have purposeful and honest discussions, and build a classroom of understanding and trust. As an educator, I have worked to construct engaging integrated curricula of theory, practice, and relevance. It is crucial to ensure consistency and equity in the classroom, grading, conversations, and expectations. As a researcher, I have supported work to include underserved populations better. Harboring inclusive conversations helps to bring meaningful acceptance and growth. In life, I strive to be a servant leader while respecting followership. I gauge my actions and others against the Four Way Test, which prioritizes fairness and truth.
